How To Find Slope Intercept

Problem: Find the slope intercept of the point (3,-3) and the slope is equal to 3.The formula for it is y=mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.
1:Find the slope. In this case the slope is found for us.
2:Find your points (points already found)
3:Write it out. Substitute the things you can (y=mx+b) (-3=3(3)+b)
4: Solve. Do 3x3 which is 9. Then, it would be -3=9+b. Subtract 9 from each side (9-9 & -3-9). The 9 gets cancelled and you're just left with -3-9 which is -12. So y=3x+(-12)

How To Do 1 Step Equations.

1.Write the problem down.
2.Since you have x-9=5,look at the function being done. (subtraction, addition, multiplication, etc.) The function would be subtraction in this case.
3. Do the inverse of subtraction which is addition. Put +9 under the -9 and the 5.The nine cancels out,so you just do 5+9 which is 14. All that's left is x,so x=14.

Difference between y-intercept and x intercept

The difference between y-intercept and x-intercept is very similar. Y-intercept is the point at which a ray intercepts the y-axis. As when x-intercept is the point at which a ray intercepts the x-axis
