How To Find Slope Intercept
Problem: Find the slope intercept of the point (3,-3) and the slope is equal to 3.The formula for it is y=mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.
1:Find the slope. In this case the slope is found for us.
2:Find your points (points already found)
3:Write it out. Substitute the things you can (y=mx+b) (-3=3(3)+b)
4: Solve. Do 3x3 which is 9. Then, it would be -3=9+b. Subtract 9 from each side (9-9 & -3-9). The 9 gets cancelled and you're just left with -3-9 which is -12. So y=3x+(-12)
